Those are not the seven ancient wonders . . . you posted one of several commonly circulated lists of wonders man-made and natural from all ages surviving in the world today. Most of the ancient woders no longer exist. They are/were: 1) Great Pyramid at Giza 2) Lighthouse of Alexandria 3) Colossus of Rhodes 4) Temple of Artemis/Diana at Ephesus 5) The Mausoleum (tomb of King Mausollus) at Halicarnassus 6) Statue of Zeus at Olympia 7) Hanging Gardens of Babylon And Sanzalone is just whacked. It's not a sacred place, it's a wall . . . a fortification. I respect its historical significance but it's not a place of reverence. Though obviously Chinese officials would be infuriated by kk's behavior (he was both crazy and brave to take the risk), it was not really sacrilegious. Sanzalone's comments imply there is something inherently nasty and repugnant about nudity, hence public nudity is offensive (a fairly widespread bias, unfortunately). It's clear to me who has the real wrong attitude. Thanks to Franz P for putting this in perspective . . . the average Chinese citizens took it in stride.
