Robert Scales is the founder of Raincity Studios, a drupal / Open Source web design, development and marketing firm located in Vancouver, Canada.

Raincity is the premier drupal themeing firm in the world. Our team has collaborated with clients such as Sony; Ozzy Ozborne, Kelly Clarkson, Warner Bros Record; Nina Gordon, Josh Groban, and Ask A Ninja to name just a few.

Scales is an open source evangelist, an avid photographer, a renaissance man and a bon vivant. He contributes articles, podcasts and videos to Now Public, Urban Vancouver, Daily Vancouver, The Standard and his personal blog RobertScales.org

Robert holds a diploma in Business Management and a Senior Management Certificate in New Media and Web Development from BCIT.

He teaches at Vancouver Film School, speaks at barcamps, Podcast Hotel and he crowd cover SXSW, Northern Voice and other Web 2.0 Industry events. In the past, he has co-produced a series of workshops on blogs and social networking tools with the Banff New Media Institute in December 05. He consulted on the creation of courses on blogging and other emerging trends for BCIT.
